to give you an idea of how hard it is to maintain black....check out this bumper under the halogen lighting. you would probably not notice this if there isn't enough light. pictures with the sun reflecting on the surface will also show all defects

Before...some swirl marks, some random scratches


50/50...top polished, bottom untouched


After...swirls and scratches now gone

That is amazing results. Only thing I hate about my white car is the dark color shine that I miss.

wow. that's serious. my car definitely resembles the first pic. actually thought it was my rear bumper for a second there.

 

I don't understand the second picture though, what's done there?

it kinda looks like there's something on the top half of the bumper...........nonetheless i gotta start putting my pennies together and gets me some detailing done.

 

the second picture illustrates a 50/50, where the upper part of the bumper (facing us) has been polished, and the bottom part is left untouched. it would've been more obvious if i taped off part of the bumper. you can see where the light reflects and where the paint defects have been removed
