Honda Safety Recall: Accord, Civic & Element ignition switch key interlock
Heavy use of the ignition switch can cause excess wear on the interlock lever inside the switch. A worn interlock lever may interfere with the key interlock by delaying interlock engagement and making it possible to remove the ignition key when the shift lever is not in P. If the transmission is not in P and the driver fails to set the parking brake, the vehicle could move, and a crash could occur.
