I just bought and installed the Thule Boxter 611 Cargo box on the Wife's car..I got to say its a cool looking box and roof rack set...my old one looked like something off the Beverly Hillbillies.

 

That's pretty slim and good looking. How much you got it for? Rack included?

Well about $900 dollars more than I thought it would cost! The load bars for 2 cars, 51 & 47 inch bars, bracket & rubber adapter kits for 2 cars, the Thule 480R feet (1 set of 4), and the Thule boxter 611 Cargo Box....Ready for this...wait for it...$2050 with the taxes in...I couldn't believe it myself...Before researching it I thought it would be a total of about $1100...sticker shock big time...But on the bright side I like the looks, and between the wife and daughters going skiing and me using it to go to the cottage it won't have much idle time. The looks of admiration don't hurt things either.

P.S. Id give it all up for this!

 

2k damn! I have to be honest I've never looked into the prices for those things and I'm sure you were shocked but I'm shocked too. I was expecting you to say $200 <- that's not a typo....

Damn these things are expensive. But if that's slightly higher than normal as you say, I'm kind of glad you chose this box because it looks pretty alright.

$200 dollars gets you shitty Can Tire crap that doesn't fit your car right and will scratch the shite out of it.

$200 dollars will also get you a cargo box that is basically square and can be bent with one hand.

$500 will get you a half decent box but too small and ugly and you would have to use "U" bolts to put it on the rack where as mine use it own clamp system...no assembly. It will also open from both sides...the cheaper ones won't.

I hear you. Didn't mean any disrecpect for your purchase. After all, you get what you pay for. One could buy a Geo Metro or a BMW M3, both are cars but a whole lot of difference.

I've seen Volvos driving around with shitty box on top, I just had no sense of cost to these things. Your's look very sharp.
