Yes even with the latest COD black ops, CODBoards seems to be dying a slow death.To those who don't know what CODBoards is...its a site Gen started back in 2003 but has been run by many people in recent years...Posts are way down and the "Barracks" there is seeing very little action indeed which used to see at least 50 to 60 post a day alone...IMO it just a matter of time unless Cod black ops can pull it out of the hole.

 

There was something about CODBoards that just didn't pick up right after the handover back in the days. Maybe the owners have botched the whole SEO aspect of the site. I've seen some broken images around the site, which really hurts things.

If I understand this from my various visits to the site, it has been slowly slowing down for the last 3 years or so - hasn't it?

Indeed, it has had the odd resurgence now and then but in the last 6 months a lot of regular posters have disappeared.

But the reality of forums is that a lot of other social media has taken over that are not so forum based. But that's mostly a bigger challenge for newer sites. Established places shouldn't and mostly don't have these kind of problems.

Fixable problem but requires a lot of man power and dedication. I think the dude also owns a server rental company which is his bread and butter so that's where he will concentrate.
