Yes, I use Internet Explorer along with Firefox and Chrome, but my primary browser has always been IE. I have to say that it was never even near perfection or even great for that matter but that's all changed just a few minutes ago when I upgraded to IE9 beta.

I have read reports and stats on IE9 and it has been blowing everything out of the water for compatibility with HTML5, which is the future of the web. But apart from that the browser is just slick. It's smooth, gives me near full screen browsing without being full screen and maximizes all the space on my 14 inch laptop.

Browsing speed is significantly faster too, it's compatible with my fingerprint biosensor (firefox isn't) and it's just a great experience so far.

HTML5 and transparencies are working amazingly on this browser as well, which weren't working at all in previous IE8. If anything, give this version of IE9 a good try and I'm sure you'll like it too. Word of caution though, IE9 is still in beta.

I haven't tested it myself but reviews are looking good. I did however find incompatibility with one page where DHTML didn't work. Still pretty alright. As far as security goes, mainstream final version are just as vulnerable as a beta version so it's your descretion. Beta versions don't get targetted massively but I still wouldn't recommend using on for banking.

I must say I love the new GUI. I use all browsers as well only primarily Firefox, but I do use IE for some things or on slower computers. It's rendering some pages really funky right now so I have to downgrade but I'm sure that will be fixed by the final release.

 

Yup. I downgraded too. I couldn't load some of the google adsense internal pages properly. The final version is going to be a definite success and that's not just me, all over the internet it's being praised.

I use Firefox along with Google Chrome(for heavier processing) but I might give IE9 BETA a go. We'll see. The way you describe it gen, it sounds like a definite improvement.

 

I never got a hang of chrome. I do use firefox mostly for troubleshooting HTML or CSS code and will continue to do so. IE9 was definitely good improvement but I removed it because I can't use a beta as my main browser - simply put.

I think they have released another build, I'll probably get it again and see how it works now.

Back at IE 9. I removed it a long while ago because the beta wasn't quite ready for mainstream yet. Now they have the new Release Candidate version that's a whole lot more stable. I'm liking it.

Yup. Working nicely. For some reason the load time on my 1 year old windows 7 installation is slow and regardless of what I read online it's not getting fixed. I just need to re-install my windows badly.
