6x9 speakers? 6x9 subs are going to be difficult to find. I don't think I've ever seen one.
Something like CL-69 CDT AUDIO 6X9" 200 WATT MID SUBWOOFER SPEAKERS but that's still a speaker without tweeters. __________________ ![]() |

You'll be surprised. I'm sure they won't have it at hand but they can order it. Only concern here would be cost but I've been shocked by dealers from time to time when they give me a price of a part that ends up cheaper than anywhere else. But since it's such a unique 6x9 sub, be ready for them to quote a pretty penny.

Why would you want a 6x9 subwoofer? You can easily mount a 6.5" subwoofer with a baffle conversion kit (made out of wood usually cost $20 each) for nice tight bass. It also makes a big difference on how you install em. If you get a ported box, you will get muddy boomy bass which is no good for high fidelity music (ported is only good for hip hop and punk teenagers). What you want is a linear bass response for accurate sound reproduction with minimal resonance and peaks in your frequency spectrum. Mounting them on rear dash is also good because your trunk is essentially a sealed box. Kicker has a shallow mount free air 6.5 subwoofer and they go pretty cheap. If you have more money, you could look at JL 6W3 series they are pretty solid and give tight bass. If you want it to be "loud" to shake the car next to you then go with any off the shelf 12" or 10" subwoofers.

Agree. That's why I've been trying to avoid putting an stock replacement in there. I like the idea of the 6.5 woofer in there, definitely if it sounds remotely close to the JL demonstration up top. I just have to get around to taking it out and figuring out the whole mounting and conversion kit situation.
