I want a pair of subs with space for groceries.

I want to have a sub, had a pair of 10 inchers but I need to find a way to still be able to put my kid's stroller and groceries in the trunk. That's why I took the subs out and went just plain 6x9s. I've been thinking of the open air type subs but can't figure out how to mount them.

03 Lancer. I had a pair of 10 inch jensen with a 600 watt amp, they worked pretty good but the box was pretty big. I've looked at potentially getting the low profile ones but considering the car's size, even they are a bit of a challenge.

What about a slim 10 inch box, for 1 or 2 tens, I can get my hands on one from my supplier, which in turn, won't take up any space at all

Slim is alright but the fact that the back of the seat is tilted, it still can be optimized to take less space. Wouldn't making own box with one side angled and putter side flat work better use of the space? Sort of half triangle almost.

Offtopic but in your setup how do you take the spare out?

Both of the cars that were pictured there are strictly show cars, if we had to drive the cars a long distance, we would bring the spare in another car coming down with us.

Ofcourse, makes sense. I have seen so many setups that people drive everyday and I wonder what if you have a flat.

Why don't you build your own box?

I'm alright at woodworking, thought about it but never attempted it. The only thing that worries me is what if it explodes because I did a shoddy job

You better be able to fit everything with whatever you are doing.
