spark plugs changed

So I decided to change the spark plugs in my 2002 pontiac sunfire. Super easy to do it on those cars. I got NGK Platinum 4 plugs for $14.99 which is a steal.

And here is the picture of the old spark plug from AC Delco OEM supplier. I don't think it is any bad (my car has almost 150 K on it and these sparkplugs did over 60K). I think the old one shows the engine is in good condition, what do you guys think?

Those actually look pretty burnt out to me. Did you gap the new plugs properly?

Well atleast there is no oil or sulfur deposit on the plugs. Ya I gapped the new ones according to the specification 0.04 SAE. The car does run smoother now.

To tell how the car is running and the condition of the plug you need to look at the tip and see how the electrode (the part at the end in the engine) looks. The color of that part and the contition can tell you alot about an engine. That pic is hard to see.

truthfully, i would have put the oem plugs back in, thats what they are designed for. but for the people who dont know, ngk actually makes the majority of the spark plugs out there, including AC Delco.

I drove the sunfire because of remote starter all winter. Dad drives the mazda. Dad's car is driven by someone else that you know. Recently he told me that the mazda's struts are gone bad - I haven't driven the car so I haven't checked it out in a while.

I'm happy to have a car that I can drive but sunfire has a bit of rough ride and I would rather take soft cushiony ride over sportiness.
