That doesn't sound like spark plug issue unless one plug is completely failing. Still doesn't sound likely. Sounds to me like air to gas mixing problem. Check you air filter, even choked fuel filter can do this.

You could check those two things and then reset your ECU by removing the battery's negative terminal for 5 minutes then connect and start the car. Let the ECU learn the air flow and gas flow again. If all above does not improve then I'll think of something.

$5 says o2 sensor lol i had this problem and while it was working at the same time it was starting to fail but not enough to trigger a check engine light to come on, but then again there is a few different things it could be, possibly even the IAC, spark plugs, wires, think your car is on coilpacks? if so possibly them/disty if your running that, one question i will ask is when u drive do u get a lack of power for a short duration almost as if the car was going to stall but drives like its half wheel drive? lol if so then definitely your o2 sensor

If its the Mazda in your signature picture, they are common for the EGR valve to go on them.

What's an EGR Valve?

Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Its used to recirculate exhaust gases to reduce cylinder temperatures and prevent pre-ignition (pinging). Its meant to be open off idle. If it malfunctions, it can open at idle at times, or all the time and can cause rough idles, or stalling at idle etc... I just suggested it because if I remember correctly, they are a known problem on the Mazda 5's.

That's cool. So isn't that something connected with the cat or the resonator or something?

Its usually mounted in the intake with a tube/pipe running to it, or mounted on the exhaust manifold. There are many variations. I believe it is mounted just down the back of the engine on the driver side, accessible from the top.

Could be anything from a vacuum leak to Sensor or bad Injector.
I have seen a Intake Manifold Gasket do this as well.

Is the car showing any codes
