it's ok playtime it's a two-way street.
I found a cable that seems to support most protocols at Digimoto Online. Digimoto USB Package Anyone know if there is a cheaper alternative? This is the kind of cable i would like to get. |

The problem with these readers is that they dont tell you the problem, they tell you the end result. Just because you get a code, that doesnt mean thats the problem, unless its pretty specific, which most are not. Unless you know what the numbers mean, if you have a data one, just a reader will not help a whole lot.

its hard to explain to someone who doesnt understand how to read the data. for instance, you turn on the water tap and have no water coming out, whats the problem ??? you dont know for sure until you test different things such as maybe a valce, broken pipe, etc....same thing with sensors and a code reader. they give you the end result, not the actual problem in most cases. there are website you can go on and find info on codes, but in reality, there are like 3000 codes out there.
