nice car! same color as my buddies that just got written off, his is a 2000, he has an intake, header, muffler and short shifter for sale with trade in on stock items, can do the swap in the driveway, let me know if u need any of those and ill get some prices from him for u

my girlfriend has a 2000 protege se 1.8 will the intake your buddy has fit the 1.8?

pretty sure my buddy has the 2.0L which is the old SE ford probe motor and the 1.8 is just the original 2.0 before its bored out so i would guess its the same the only thing is insurance will be taking the wrecked car so we need the old intake or any other replacement part, thats the only issue as insurance will come after him for parts technically missing, but we can do the swap in his driveway unless u want to drive your car down with the old intake lol either way, ill get some prices tonight
