Best Old Man Tires

I want to get new tires for my 08 Nissan...now I just want a nice quiet smooth ride...I will Not be going around corners at 80km so performance tires is not necessary...I've had enough of the OEM continentals that came with the car...they don't balance properly and they're noisy. Also does any one know of a good tire shop hopefully in the west end even Brampton, Mississauga that does a good balance job... Price is important but if I get good service it can be overlooked. Please tell me what tires you think are best and why.

If you are looking for all seasons I can definitely suggest Goodyear Eagle tires. They will cost reasonable amount and give you a very smooth ride and very nice grip.

You want to have a good balance between safety and comfort too, so don't forget that.

But why old man's tires, you're young at heart!

Cool

Well thanks but a small miracle fell upon me price wise...so I got Yokohama and what a difference...smooth quiet...it did the trick...I went on Hwy. 410 this morning after the install and took her to 60-70 80- right up to 145km and it was smooth as butter...yup I'm happy... It cost me just over $600(4 tires of course) tires, balance and taxes. And of course the most important thing of all...They look cool too !

Good stuff. If you get a chance post the model of the Yokohama you put on since you like em.

I'm assuming you got factory size, same rims?

Check em in rain. I did 150 on my summer tires on 404 just to check in a thunder storm and they were amazingly stuck to the ground.

Did a lot of running around today in the car...its amazing how one doesn't realize how bad your old tires get because it degrades so slowly...today it was the subtle differences I noticed what new rubber can do for you.

Of course, specially if you previous tires were OEMs. They mostly use the manufacturer that wins the lowest bid.

I will recommend to buy Continental tires for your autos. The ContiProContact is Continental's Grand Touring All-Season tire used as Original Equipment on European sport sedans. The ContiProContact was developed to blend looks and handling with low noise and good ride comfort, and is tuned to match the needs of sporty sedans by providing year-round traction, even in light snow.
